There is a possibility that the micro-blogging website Twitter will be able to verify anyone's account for $8 a month. Earlier there were reports that Twitter verified account holders i.e. blue tick account holders will be charged a monthly fee of $8 to keep their account verified. But now the news has come out that the trial feature introduced by Twitter in the US, Canada, New Zealand, and Australia show that Blue Tick will be provided to every account holder for $8 per month.
Regarding C, TechCrunch said in its report that there are reports that some users using Twitter on iPhone were instructed to subscribe to a service called Twitter Blue, under which they can tweet long videos in addition to giving them a blue tick. And ads are offered to be less visible. Earlier there were reports that Twitter will start charging a monthly fee from November 7 or 8 and all accounts that have a Blue Tick will be asked to pay a monthly fee of $8.
It follows the acquisition of Twitter by Elon Musk, who laid off about half of the company's employees on Friday. The coveted blue checkmark was previously available only to prominent or influential individuals and organizations, who were asked to verify their identity. Profiles are used as a mark of authenticity and are an important tool in helping users identify trustworthy information on the platform.
Policy changes may increase concerns that government officials, celebrities, journalists, and brands may impersonate users looking to pay monthly fees. The world's richest man, Musk, appears to be looking to diversify his Twitter earnings after buying it in his $44 billion (£39 billion) deal late last month. Twitter's decision to charge $8 per month from users is being debated worldwide and people are also criticizing Elon Musk. Earlier there were reports that Twitter verified account holders i.e. blue tick account holders will be charged a monthly fee of $8 to keep their account verified.
