Pakistan has faced successive incidents and tragedies since its establishment. Hardly a period of peace must have passed in the country, otherwise, on the pages of history, we see a long story of chaos, disorder, anarchy, and sacrifices of the people in the country. December 16 also comes to commemorate two such major tragedies. There is a difference in years between these two tragedies, but each tragedy contains a story of pain and bloodshed.
Be it the fall of Dhaka on December 16, 1971, or the tragedy of APS Peshawar on December 16, 2014, with the arrival of December, these tragedies start being mentioned in the electronic and print media of the country. Thanks to social media, the sleeping intellectuals of the nation are also waking up and they are starting to lash out in their own way on the devastation of Pakistan and the martyrdom of the innocent children of the Army Public School. And these never-to-be-forgotten tragedies are recalled.
Yes, we are so insensitive, who are repeating the process of not learning anything from these tragedies by deliberately erasing these never-to-be-forgotten tragedies from our minds. The horrifying story of these tragedies can never be forgotten, but we forget, and only on these special days of December, suddenly, the endless sea of patriotism starts to swell within us. It is surprising to those who do not refrain from showing their malicious thinking on these events in their conversations and writings. Sometimes the government of Pakistan and institutions are held responsible for these tragedies, and sometimes our own shortcomings are mentioned as if these tragedies are not tragedies, but our minor mistakes, which we should forget and move forward. How can we be so hard-hearted?
The tricks and conspiracies of enemies and adversaries are mentioned in such a vague manner that we are not the ones behind them. And then the recurrence of these tragedies is also predicted that our character still hasn't changed. We still haven't learned from our mistakes and so on.
Yes, it is accepted that our own mistakes are included, there have been shortcomings, and lessons have not been learned from mistakes, but what is it to propagate ideas against our own government, our own institutions, our own country. People should be minded against their own institutions? Is this not yet another mistake that is being repeated over and over again?
The grief of losing a part of our country on December 16, 1971, is as intense as the grief and of a mother losing her liver on December 16, 2014. These pains and sorrows cannot be cured. Time heals wounds, and pain the lessens but what is lost cannot be returned.
If you look at today's newspapers, TV channels or even social media sites, you will find repeated mentions of the fall of Dhaka and the tragedy of APS. You must have memorized all the details, so we are not repeating those things here, but we strongly object to the anti-patriotic content seen on all these writings, and social media post. We admit that before 1971 there were abuses, in mistakes were also committed against our East Pakistan, but they were committed by our enemies. ignores mistake and ignore the factors that made this country rich. Be sure to advise them not to repeat their and mistakes but do not blame the institutions. Criticism is your right, but do not strengthen the hands of enemies in criticism. This attitude against our own institutions is "another tragedy" that is happening to us.
